Adam Spinks
Boys Technical Director
Adam brings a wealth of playing and coaching experience to Michigan Development Academy, where he serves as Boys Technical Director. His development began in the youth system at Stoke City, building a high-level foundation from an early age. His senior playing career took him across four countries — England, Gibraltar, Spain, and the United States — competing in the Gibraltar Premier League with Europa Point FC, including UEFA Champions League qualification campaigns, before continuing stateside with Detroit City FC and Michigan Stars.
Adam holds a USSF C License and is committed to developing players both technically and tactically at every level. In 2023, he took over as head coach at Troy High School, leading the program to multiple District Championships and OAA Red League titles while building a culture of accountability, leadership, and shared commitment.
Joining MDA from Liverpool IA Michigan, Adam steps into a role focused on shaping the club's player development philosophy across all programs. He is driven by a player-centered approach where technical growth, integrity, and long-term development are the foundation — and is committed to helping every player reach their potential, on and off the field.
When he's not on the pitch, you'll find Adam on the golf course with his wife. A passionate Aston Villa supporter, he brings that same love for the game into everything he does.
