Greg Perkins

Boys Director of Coaching & Co-Founder

Greg brings a deep-rooted passion for player development and a wealth of coaching experience to Michigan Development Academy, where he serves as Boys Director of Coaching and co-founder. A London native, Greg has spent nearly two decades building and leading boys programs in Michigan, and his commitment to developing the complete player — on and off the field — drives everything he does within MDA.

Greg holds a USSF National B License and a UEFA C License. His coaching career spans over 15 years, beginning as a staff coach at Force Football Club (2007–2009) before serving as Boys Director of Coaching at United FC from 2009 to 2025. At the high school level, he served as head coach of the Groves varsity men's program from 2020 to 2022 and has been head coach at Seaholm since 2022. Within MDA, he coaches the 2014, 2013, 2009, and 2007 Boys teams and oversees the boys pathway from U12 through U19.

Born and raised in London, Greg developed his game through numerous youth clubs, captained Brentwood County High School for four years, represented Havering District, and played semi-professionally before transitioning into coaching. He remains a lifelong — and very serious — Liverpool supporter, and enjoys time on the golf course and with friends and family when he's away from the pitch.
